PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mountless label printer which causes label paper not to adhere to a sensor for detecting whether or not the label paper is wound around a platen roller.SOLUTION: The mountless label printer, which performs printing on mountless label paper 1a by using a platen roller 3b that is driven and rotated and a print head 3a and then cuts the mountless label paper by means of a cutter 4 so as to issue a sheet type mountless label, includes the cutter disposed near the platen roller at the downstream side thereof, a label receiver 5 disposed near the cutter at the downstream side thereof, a label detection means 7 for detecting presence or absence of a label on the label receiver, a determination means for determining winding of the label paper to the platen roller on the basis of a detection result of the label detection means at a time before the cutter operates, and a control section that controls driving of the print head and the platen roller on the basis of the determination of the determination means, so that the control section stops the printing by the platen roller and the print head when the determination means determines that winding occurs. |
