A method and device for realizing a secure communication. The method applicable to a terminal comprises: upon detecting a secure communication initiated by a home terminal user as a calling party to an opposite terminal user, acquiring fingerprint information of the home terminal user, processing the fingerprint information, and generating fingerprint data of the home terminal user; transmitting to a fingerprint data management server a fingerprint authentication request carrying called information of the secure communication and the fingerprint data of the home terminal user; and receiving an authentication response carrying an authentication result and returned by the fingerprint data management server, and if the authentication result indicates that the fingerprint passes authentication, then establishing the secure communication with the opposite terminal user. The technical solution of the present invention increases security and convenience of the secure communication by utilizing the fingerprint authentication. |
