FAST CHARGING METHOD, POWER ADAPTER AND MOBILE TERMINAL

Provided in the present invention are a fast charging method, a power adapter and a terminal, the method being applicable to the power adapter. The power adapter and mobile terminal connect to each other by means of a USB port, the power line whereof is used for the power adapter to charge the mobile terminal; the data line of the USB port is used for bidirectional communication between the power adapter and the mobile terminal. The power adapter supports conventional charging modes and fast-charging modes; charge current in fast-charging modes is greater than in conventional modes. The method comprises: the power adapter utilizes the data line of the USB port for bidirectional communication with the mobile terminal to determine whether to use a fast-charging mode to charge the mobile terminal; the power adapter adjusts the charge current to a current corresponding to the fast-charging mode so as to charge the mobile terminal. Embodiments of the present invention enhance the safety of fast-charging processes.
