PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly slidable resin compsn. which can give a molded article capable of retaining high friction and abrasion characteristics against both to metals and to resins for a long time by compounding a polyacetal resin with a specified amt. of zeolite. SOLUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by compounding 100 pts.wt. polyacetal resin with 0.1-20 pts.wt. zeolite and pref. further contains 0.01-5 pts.wt. sliding agent. The sliding agent further improves the friction and abrasion characteristics. Examples of the sliding agent are paraffin wax, polyethylene wax, an organosiloxane, a higher fatty acid ester, and a higher fatty acid metal salt. Both natural zeolite and synthetic zeolite can be used, examples being faujasite, mordenite, zeolite L, and zeolite Y. When the sliding agent is added to the compsn., the agent is pref. impregnated into zeolite before being mixed into a polyacetal resin. |
