The device comprises: a unit (11) with an electric motor (21) with a drive shaft (39); a hollow supporting tube (3), with a first end connected to the motor unit (11) and a second end with which a means to connect a tool (7) is associated; a motion transmission member (25) extending along the tube (3) towards the connection means. The drive shaft (39) is facing the opposite side with respect to the second end of the tube (3) and a reduction gear (41, 43) is disposed between the drive shaft (39) and the transmission member (25).
