Method of controlling a road paver

The method employs several stages. A basing setting of at least one operational parameter of at least one working component of the finisher according to known standard conditions, is made in a setting process. Based on this basic setting, a precise setting of the operational parameter according to actual conditions during operation, is carried out. After this process, the operational parameter is stored and is used as standard condition for basic setting with comparable actual conditions, during a further setting process. The parameters of several setting processes are stored to provide a selection. Operational parameters of the precise setting are stored in from to permit its transmission from one finishing machine to a second one.
