PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting receiver capable of performing stable reception at all times, even if the reception environment changes. SOLUTION: A digital broadcasting receiver 10 comprises a plurality of antennas 11, 12 and a plurality of reception/demodulation sections 13, 14. Each of the plurality of reception/demodulation sections 13, 14 performs reception and demodulation, when at ordinary reception and outputs a first digital data stream. At searching, the plurality of antennas and the plurality of reception/demodulation sections are divided into two groups. The antenna 11 and the reception/demodulation section 13 of one group continuously receive and output the first digital data stream. Furthermore, the antenna 12 and the reception/demodulation section 14 of the other group detect the broadcast signal of a channel which is different from the first digital data stream and output a second digital data stream, by receiving and demodulating the broadcast signal of a channel in a proper reception status, detected by the diversity using the plurality of antennas 11, 12 and the plurality of reception/demodulation sections 13, 14.
