A crop removing device and a crop removing method, and a continuous rolling apparatus and a continuous rolling method are provided to accurately remove crops remained on upper and lower sides of a joint between the metal plates when bonding traveling metal plates to each other. A crop removing device comprises: lower and upper crop removers(71,72) installed oppositely to the shear side(38a) of an upper crop(38) and the shear side(39a) of a lower crop(39) respectively in a state that a metal bar is positioned between the crop removers. The lower crop remover includes a lower tapping blade(74) installed oppositely to the shear side(39a) of the lower crop(39) at the rear side of a preceding metal bar(9). The upper crop remover includes an upper tapping blade(75) installed oppositely to the shear side(38a) of the upper crop(38) of a following metal bar(6). The crop removing device further comprises a scraper(77) which receives a separated upper crop(38), and is rotated to move the separated upper crop to a crop tray(78).
