A sublimation type image forming apparatus having a memo function is provided to print a memo on the back of a photo for making arranging of photos easier. A sublimation type image forming apparatus having a memo function includes a rear print cartridge(181), a memory, a rear print roller(182), and a controller. The rear print cartridge records optional data on one side of a rear surface opposite to the front surface of a paper on which images are printed. The memory stores the optional data which the rear print cartridge records. The rear print roller assists a print operation of the rear print cartridge. When a rear print request is inputted from an external device or a body, the controller controls a total rear print so that the rear print cartridge performs a rear print.
