A method and an apparatus for manufacturing a spunbond web are provided to prevent unnecessary shift of a non-woven web, thereby preserving uniform distribution and arrangement of filaments in the non-woven web. A spunbond web is manufactured by filaments consisting of thermoplastic resin. The filaments are spun by at least one spinning machine, cooled in a cooling room, and then elongated by an elongating unit. The elongated filaments are transferred to at least one diffuser(14), and then laminated on a belt in order to form a non-woven web(11). The non-woven web is passed through wetting units by the belt so that the non-woven web is pre-wetted. The non-wove web is transferred outside the wetting units, and then compacted on the belt by high-pressure water jet treatment. The non-woven web is removed from the belt, and then transferred for a subsequent process. Further, a sub assembly consisting of the cooling room and the elongating unit is close and an additional air is not supplied. |
