An apparatus for opening and closing pipe connecting units of a separation-type air conditioner is provided to employ an open/close unit rotating or sliding in a state in which the open/close unit is coupled to a body so that the pipe connecting units are selectively opened or closed. An apparatus for opening and closing pipe connecting units(110) of a separation-type air conditioner includes an indoor unit body(100), the pipe connecting units, and an open/close unit. The pipe connecting units are provided at left and right sides of the indoor unit body. The pipe connecting units penetrate such that a pipe is inserted thereinto. The pipe connecting units allow refrigerant supplied from an outdoor unit to circulate in an indoor unit. The pipe connecting units have a circular shape. The open/close unit includes a plate member(120) and a hinge. The plate member has a circular shape identical to that of the pipe connecting units. The hinge helps the rotation of the plate member.
