A computer system, a controlling method thereof and a data processing device are provided to minimize an unnecessary operation by reducing an operation speed when the data quantity is small in processing the data of plural channels, consequently the power consumption of the computer system can be reduced. A memory unit(103.0) is prepared corresponding to a channel so that data reading and writing operations may be enabled. A data processing unit(1042) process the data of plural channels based on a time division method. A controlling unit(104) controls the data processing unit to process data by reducing the channels when the amount of data processed by data processing unit is below a certain value. A channel controller(1041.0) interfaces the memory unit with the data processing unit by corresponding to the channels. A first power supply unit(105) supplies power to the channel controller, and a second power supply unit(1043) supplies power to the memory unit.
