<p>A method of handling a DigitMap (DM) between Media Gateway Controller (MGC) and Media Gateway (MG) is disclosed. The DigitMap timer values are modified by providing only the DigitMap (DM) name and the timer values that needs to be modified to the Media Gateway (MG). The method includes MGC checking if modify request is only for the timer values or also for the DM pattern, checking if DM name is known or unknown to MGC, MGC specifying the DM name and the timer values to be modified to the MG when the DM name is known, MGC creating a new DM if said DM name is not known to MGC, MGC specifying the new DM name and the timer values to be modified to the MG, MG verifying the DM pattern specified in the modify request and updating the timer values to MGC specified values in DM.</p> |
