A fingerprint recognition device based on a low coherence interferometer according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a fingerprint recognition probe which is coupled to one section among sections of a connection part connected to a light source generating light, and which recognizes a fingerprint of a person; a reference mirror which is coupled to the other section among the sections of the connection part, and which reflects the light from the light source; and a light detector which is coupled to another section of the connection part and which detects the light passed the fingerprint recognition probe and the reference mirror, wherein the fingerprint recognition probe may utilize a low coherence phenomenon of the light provided from the light source to recognize an external fingerprint layer of the fingerprint or an internal fingerprint layer of the fingerprint. According to the embodiment of the present invention, even if the external fingerprint layer of the layers of the fingerprint has been destroyed, the present invention can obtain information on the internal fingerprint layer based on the low coherence interferometer, thereby accurately confirm the identity of the person to be measured. |
