The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for changing a channel of a digital broadcasting receiver, capable of changing a channel by using a capture function. The apparatus for changing a channel of a digital broadcasting receiver comprises: a broadcasting signal processing unit for performing signal processing by dividing a received digital broadcasting signal into a video signal, an audio signal, and information data; a display unit for displaying a signal-processed broadcast; and a channel changing unit for comparing a plurality of broadcast images captured from a target channel at predetermined time intervals in response to an external request signal, detecting a pixel group of a screen displaying the same data, and changing a broadcast of a current channel displayed on the displaying unit to a broadcast of the target channel when data displayed by the pixel group detected in a re-captured broadcasting screen are different from each other. |
