The invention relates to a device (11) and a method for producing a multilayer cross-laid thread structure (1) that consists of an upper (5) and a lower (2) warp-thread group and of a first (3) and a second (4) weft-thread group. The device (11) comprises a first thread-laying roller (23) and a second thread-laying roller (24) which form between one another a thread-laying gap (28) in which the first and the second weft-thread group (3, 4) of the cross-laid thread structure (1) can be laid on one another. In this case, the first thread-laying roller (23) and/or the second thread-laying roller (24) and/or a third roller (W3) has on its lateral surface at least one groove (23a) for receiving the first weft-thread group (3) or the second weft-thread group (4), respectively. As a result, the geometric shape accuracy of a repeating basic pattern in the cross-laid thread structure (1) that is laid is ensured. |
