[Class 136 (ii).] In a rocking horse, rocking chair, or the like having means whereby the rocking movement produces also a forward movement, the rockers 1 are provided with wheels 5 mounted fast upon an axle 4 and adapted to rotate only in a forward direction, and with small front wheels 11, which are rotatably mounted on spindles 10 having an up and down movement in cylindrical guides 9 under the control of compression springs 12. The wheels 5 are provided with ratchet wheels 6 also fixed to the axle 4 and engaged by pawls 7 pivoted at 8 to the rockers 1. The cylindrical guides 9 are secured to a front cross-bar 2 connecting the rockers 1. |
