PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance measuring device capable of reducing the circuit scale than before with small power consumption by simplifying the distance measuring processing equipment. SOLUTION: The distance measuring equipment is provided with: the means 6 for irradiating a measuring object 0 with pulsed laser light synchronized with the clock signal; the means 21 for holding the count value of the clock just before the peak value of the receiving signal reflected from the measuring object 0; and the means 10-13 for specifying most correlative triangular wave from the correlation results between the (N+1) triangular waves 0-N shifted in the phase by the delayed time of the interval that is an N division of a clock signal cycle and the reflected signal from the measuring object 0. The triangular waves 0-N of (N+1) pieces and the receiving signals reflected from the object 0 are multiplied respectively, and by keeping the result of every multiplication, and comparing the each keeping data, the highest correlative triangular wave can be specified.
