PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of easily and positively positioning a defrosting determination sensor mounted selecting a suitable position in measuring the timing of defrosting operation. SOLUTION: The defrosting determination sensor 33 which is a temperature sensor is provided in a part behind a cooler 5 in an inner case 22 in a body 20 of the refrigerator. The defrosting determination sensor 33 is mounted in a recess 34 which is a storage part. The recess 34 is sized to receive the defrosting determination sensor 33 and formed in gutter shape recessed toward a heat insulating material 23 from the inner case 22. An innermost part in the recess 34 is provided with graduations 34e of recessed shape further toward the heat insulating material 23 from the surface of the inner case 22. Owing to these graduations 34e, even if the defrosting determination sensor 33 is removed from the recess 34 due to maintenance or the like, it can be easily returned into the original position.
