The method finds application in the generation of driving forces to be used for driving different vehicles, spacecrafts in particular, avoiding any contact with the environment or with the substance fired in a direction opposite to the generated force. Under the method, a flywheel (1) is used, where the inertia moment around one of the three main axes of inertia, i.e. the axis O1-O1, is much smaller than the inertia moments around the other two main axes of inertia, i.e. the O2-O2 and O3-O3 axes. The flywheel (1) rotates around one of the axes (O3-O3) with a great inertia moment, and it is subjected at the same time to external actions with a frequency twice as high as the rotation frequency. In one of the embodiments, the external action is a swing motion around an axis perpendicular to the flywheel rotation axis, which is phase-locked with the rotation. In another embodiment, the external action consists of forces applied to the flywheel, such forces being phase-locked with the rotation too.
