PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amplitude of oscillation of the entire plate glass when conveying the plate glass in a vertical attitude.SOLUTION: In a plate glass conveyance apparatus 1, two sets of support means groups 2, 3 support a pair of side portions Gu, Gd, facing each other of plate glass G in a vertical attitude, where each set of support means groups 2, 3 comprising plural support means 21-25, 31-35 aligned along one side portion and separated from each other, and the plate glass G is conveyed in the longitudinal direction of the side portions Gu, Gd. The two sets of support means groups 2, 3 are configured to exert tensile force F across the pair of side portions Gu, Gd in the plate glass G while supporting the pair of side portions Gu, Gd of the plate glass G. Each of the support means groups 2, 3 is configured to exert tensile force P across at least the support means 21, 31 supporting one end of each side portion and the support means 25, 35 supporting the other end among the plural support means 21-25, 31-35 in the plate glass. |
