PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a checkout system for matching a sales price in merchandise registration with that in fare adjustment to perform accurate fare adjustment.SOLUTION: When a store controller is on line, a merchandise registration device 10 one-dimensionally encodes transaction identification information, and prints it on a receipt for accounting, and a fare adjustment device 20 extracts the transaction identification information from the receipt for accounting, and collates registration information with the store controller by using the transaction identification information as a search key, and performs accounting processing. When the store controller is off line, the merchandise registration device 10 two-dimensionally encodes the transaction identification information, merchandise identification information, sales price and sales quantity, and prints them on the receipt for accounting, and the fare adjustment device 20 performs accounting processing on the basis of the transaction identification information, merchandise identification information, sales price and sales quantity read from the receipt for accounting. |
