METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING DIFFERENT TYPE MESSAGES USING A SIP-BASED TRANSPORT MESSAGE AND USER EQUIPMENT THEREFOR

Provided is a method for transmitting different types of messages by the use of an SIP based transport message in which various message services such as a short message service (SMS), a multimedia message service (MMS), and an E-mail service can be provided in a merged manner, and a user equipment therefor. The method includes the steps of: determining a service type from an input message and creating an integrated message from the input message on the basis of the determined service type; and creating a transport message including the integrated message. A header unit of the integrated message includes a common header field containing information common to various types of service messages and a specific header field containing information specific to the various types of service messages. A transport message containing the created integrated message is created and transmitted. The processes of creating the integrated message and transmitting the transport message can be performed by a client control function (CCF) which is a processor built in a user equipment.
