An ECU executes a program which includes: a step(S110) of injecting fule only by an injector for air intake path injection if an engine is in an idle state (YES in S100), a step (S120) of starting an addition-type PFI timer, a step (S140) of resetting the PFI timer if the PFI timer count value has reached a set value which is set shorter as the fuel characteristic becomes lighter (YES in S130), and a step (S150) of injecting the fuel only by using an injector for in-cylinder injection.
