An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to reduce a unit cost and minimize its thickness by driving an LC panel through one driving IC and installing the driving IC within the LC panel. An LC panel(10) has plural pixel cells(11) disposed in each area defined by plural data and gate lines(DL,GL). A gate built-in circuit(12) is formed in the LC panel and supplies gate one voltage to each of the gate lines. A driving IC(Integrated Circuit)(13) drives the gate built-in circuit and supplies an image signal to each of the data line. In a pad unit, plural input/output terminals are formed so as to be electrically connected with input/output bumps of the driving IC. Therefore, the driving IC is mounted in the pad unit.
