A hook alignment device for a sewing machine is provided to control a location of a hook while confirming the hook and a needle by installing an operation member connected to a lower shaft of a bed unit in the sewing machine. A sewing machine(1) comprises the followings: an upper shaft(12) moving a needle bar(14) maintaining a needle(15) with drive of a motor(11) of the sewing machine; a lower shaft(31) rotated by driving of the motor and installed on a bed unit of the sewing machine; a hook(36) rotating with the lower shaft and installed on an end side of the lower shaft; and a power transmitting unit(17) delivering drive of the upper shaft to the lower shaft and connecting the upper shaft to the lower shaft.
