The system comprises: - a first luminous device fitted to a first outer zone of a side of the vehicle, for emitting a luminous warning signal (A, A1s, A1f, A2r), before the opening of a door (P1), - a second luminous device fitted to second zone of the vehicle side and distanced from said first zone, for emitting a luminous warning signal (FL, AH, S, S1, S2, As, FIe), and - an electronic controller circuit (320) connected to said luminous devices, for controlling the first luminous device so that it emits said luminous warning device (A, A1s, A1f, A2r) before the opening of the door (P1) and the second luminous device so that it emits said warning light signal (FL, AH, S, S1, S2, As, FIe) before or during the opening of said door (P1).
