PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system capable of displaying a movement history of a monitored person in a state easy to comprehend the movement history even when there are a large number of tag detection devices inside a monitoring area. SOLUTION: This monitoring system 1 has: the plurality of tag detection devices 20 provided in the monitoring area; and a monitoring server 30. The monitoring server 30 has: a detection data collection part 31 receiving detection data showing detection of approach of a tag device 10 of the monitored person from the plurality of tag detection devices 20; a detection history DB 32 storing received detection information; a display spot determination part 37 reading the detection information related to the prescribed monitored person from the detection history DB 32, and integrating the read detection data to determine a display spot to be displayed as the movement history of the monitored person; a display image generation part 34 superposing the display spot on a map of the monitoring area to generate a display image; and an Internet server part 35 transmitting the display image to be transmitted to a terminal 40 for a protector.
