PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material from which a model can be easily and rapidly prepared. SOLUTION: The inorganic-base clay characterized by containing inorganic powder (A), an organic gelatinizing agent (B), and water (C) is used. The inorganic powder (A) is preferably at least one kind selected from the group consisting of silica sand, mountain sand, sea sand, feldspar, pottery stone, talc, calcium carbonate, potsherd, and chamotte. The organic gelatinizing agent (B) is preferably a natural high polymer. Based on the weights of (B) and (C), the content of (A) is preferably 63 to 77 wt.%, the content of (B) 2.5 to 7 wt.%, and the content of (C) 20 to 33 wt.%. Also, the method for manufacturing the model including a molding step of preparing the molded body by molding with the inorganic clay, and a curing step of solidifying the model by removing water from the molded body is used.
