<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-volatile memory for easily restoring data just before rewrite since write-in may become incomplete, and data may be lost when processing is interrupted due to failure during write-in in reading/writing data from/in a non-volatile memory equipped with characteristics such as a flash memory. <P>SOLUTION: This method for controlling a controller for managing a non-volatile memory to be accessed by the block unit for rewrite and deletion includes: selecting and deleting a first block in an empty state so that it can be recorded when receiving an instruction to store data in a certain logical address of the non-volatile memory; searching a second block on the non-volatile memory assigned to the logical address; copying the content after rewriting data stored in the second block to the first block; and managing the first block as a block assigned to the logical address, and the second block as a block in the latest empty state different from the empty state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
