PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can suppress an increase in the amount of billing.SOLUTION: The present image forming apparatus is an image forming apparatus including a communication instrument that transmits data to a management device via a communication line provided by a communication common carrier, and includes: comparison means that compares the total amount of data scheduled to be transmitted until a predetermined time point with a reference value; compression means that, when the total amount of data is larger than the reference value, compresses the data scheduled to be transmitted; and output means that outputs the compressed data to the communication instrument.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
