摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep accuracy of a gap between an inner yoke and an outer yoke of a non-excitation operation type electromagnetic brake.SOLUTION: A non-excitation operation type electromagnetic brake (1) disclosed in the present patent application is characterized in that an axial surface of a flange part (51a) of an outer yoke (51) is provided with a ring-like salient (51b) coaxially with a rotating shaft (3) and at the same time an axial surface of a flange part (52a) of an inner yoke (52) is provided with a ring-like salient (52b) coaxially with the rotating shaft while being oppositely faced axially against the salient of the outer yoke, a permanent magnet (55) is arranged to be held between a concavity (51c) formed by the salient of the outer yoke and a concavity (52c) formed by the salient of the inner yoke, and a ring-like gap member (56) made of nonmagnetic material is arranged to be held between the salient of the outer yoke and the salient of the inner yoke.
