Provided is a pneumatic tire configured so that the uneven wear of the tire in a circuit running is reduced and so that an increase in noise after wear is prevented. This pneumatic tire is provided with a tread, a pair of sidewalls, and a pair of beads. At least four main grooves (11, 12) are formed in the tread. The pneumatic tire has a rib pattern in which at least five rows of lands (10, 20, 30) are defined, and the rotational direction (R) of the pneumatic tire is specified. Bending grooves (21) having a bent shape are provided in an intermediate land (20) located on the inside of and adjacent to each shoulder main groove (12), one end of each of the bending grooves (21) is open to the shoulder main groove (12), and the other end of the bending groove (21) is closed within the intermediate land (20). Each of the bending grooves (21) is composed of a first tilting groove extending from the opening end to the bend and also of a second tilting groove extending from the bend to the closed end. The direction from the opening end of the first tilting groove toward the bend is made to coincide with the rotational direction (R), and the second tilting groove is bent to the first tilting groove side with the bend located at the top of the bending groove. |
