The present invention relates to a method for increasing stemness of human mesenchymal stem cells. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for increasing stemness of human mesenchymal stem cell by treating endothelin-1; a human mesenchymal stem cell having improved stemness through the method; and a composition for increasing stemness of human mesenchymal stem cells, wherein the composition includes endothelin-1 as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, endothelin-1 is treated on human mesenchymal stem cells, so the expression of a stemness marker is increased and a telomere length is extended. It is confirmed that the properties of stem cells can be improved, so a lifespan of cells is extended and aging of the cells is controlled. Also, the growth and survivability of cells are improved, so human mesenchymal stem cells can be mass-cultured. Accordingly, it is expected that the method according to the present invention can be effectively used in cell treatment or regenerative medicine. |
