PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine starting controller capable of shortening required time until starter actuation of starting an engine by a starter motor is permitted when ignition is turned on.SOLUTION: An engine starting controller comprises: a starter motor, a horizontal engine, and a motor-generator as a driving system; and a strong electric battery, a capacitor, and a hybrid control module controlling charging/discharging of the capacitor as a power supply system. The hybrid control module actuating a starter and controlling the charging/discharging in a FF plug-in hybrid vehicle controller capable of performing normal external charging and quick external charging of this strong electric battery starts forced discharge of the capacitor after passage of predetermined time α after turning off ignition, and starts recharging the capacitor to make starter actuation possible when the quick external charging starts during the forced discharging. |
