The present invention relates to an apparatus for discriminating bacteria using light scattering patterns, which comprises: an optical fiber for transmitting the light transmitted from a light source; a lens for controlling the width of the light delivered from the optical fiber; a linear polarizer in which the light passing a bacterial colony through the lens is penetrated; and an imaging unit for imaging the scattering pattern of the light which is penetrated through the linear polarizer. The apparatus for discriminating bacteria using light scattering patterns of the present invention can secure various types of unique light scattering patterns by the polarization with respect to one bacterial colony, and has effects in improving the accuracy of the discrimination of bacteria.
