PURPOSE: A hood latch assembly is provided to secure a wider front space part of a vehicle by mounting a side wall of low height and to reduce the generation of noise. CONSTITUTION: A hood latch assembly is composed of a frame(110) having a base plate(111) and side walls(112a,112b,112c); a first locking member(120) supported by the frame to rotate by the drop of a striker and formed with a separation preventing unit(121) for hindering the rising of the striker as the drop of the striker is completed; a second locking member(130) supported by the frame to rotate by rotation of the first locking member and a stopping unit(132) for stopping reverse-rotation of the first locking member in completing the drop of the striker; a first elastic member(140) installed to the frame to elastically support the first locking member in the direction of reverse-rotation; a second elastic member(150) disposed to the frame to elastically support the second locking member in the direction of reverse-rotation; and a wire(170) for rotating the second locking member. At least one of the first and second elastic members is a torsion spring.
