PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extremely low temperature refrigerating device with a buffer tank having an increased capacity with the lower boiling point of refrigerant to permit efficient circulation of gas refrigerant in the buffer tank. SOLUTION: The extremely low temperature refrigerating device comprises the first and second buffer tanks 65, 66 connected to each other via a communication circuit 68. The first buffer tank 65 is connected to a refrigerant pipe between a gas refrigerant discharge portion of a first gas-liquid separator 24 and the primary side of a first heat exchanger 25 via a refrigerant flow-in pipe 67.
