An image forming apparatus is provided to use organic EL device for a long time while having a line head of high brightness. A line head includes a first substrate, a bonding layer (8), a second substrate, and a plurality of irradiation sections. The first substrate has a plurality of organic EL devices. The bonding layer is disposed on the first substrate and has an optical transmissivity. The second substrate is bonded to the first substrate through the bonding layer and has a reflection film covering at least a portion of the bonding layer. The light emitted by the organic EL device passes through the bonding layer and is irradiated by the irradiation sections. |
