The invention concerns a radial piston-type motor whereof the cylinder block comprises scavenging holes (40) which are provided between consecutive cylinders and are open on at least one of the peripheral surfaces of the cylinder block (10A, 10B, 10C), each scavenging hole extending at least partly in the vicinity of the radial plane of the cylinder wherein is measured the diameter of a cylinder adjacent the hole concerned and in the radial space of said cylinder, such that the fluid contained in the crankcase may flow into the scavenging hole (40) in the vicinity of said cylinder to promote cooling of the wall thereof in a zone passing through said radial plane.
