PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin welding method which can certainly weld resins to each other while preventing damage due to excess heat input from being generated in an annular region scheduled for welding, as well as a resin welding device.SOLUTION: Resin members 3 and 4 are made to pass again through a region under irradiation with laser light L, to a region Ra, a part of an annular region scheduled for welding R, in such a state that the resin members 3 and 4 are brought into contact with each other in the region scheduled for welding R. In this case, the surface temperatures Ts of the resin members 3 and 4 are kept at a temperature level of less than the melting temperature of the resin members 3 and 4. Consequently, the inside part M of the resin members 3 and 4 in the melting state is pent up by the surface part S in the non-melting state. Thus, the foaming of the molten resin can be inhibited, and in the region Ra, the incident surface of the laser light L is kept smooth after welding. Besides, the pressure of the inside part M in the melting state is increased, so that in the region Ra, the mixing of the molten resin is promoted, resulting in the strong welding of the resin member 3 with the resin member 4. |
