A refrigeration system or a control system for a refrigeration system has a display that by default displays the temperature of a simulated product stored in the refrigeration system as sensed by a temperature probe. The system control logic determines the temperature limits for cutting the refrigeration cycle in or out based on a temperature set-point entered by a user.

1. A refrigeration system comprising:
an enclosure including a left wall, a right wall, a back wall, a top, and a bottom, said enclosure having a front opening, said front opening having a left side and a right side; said enclosure including a door adapted to act as a closure for said front opening, said door having a left side surface and a right side surface; an upper hinge having a first hinge portion and a second hinge portion that are adapted to be pivotally connected to one another; a lower hinge having a first hinge portion and a second hinge portion that are adapted to be pivotally connected to one another; a control system for controlling the operation of the refrigeration system; a façade housing at least a portion of said control system, said façade having a left side and a right side, said façade having a molded-in left cut-out on said left side thereof, said façade having a molded-in right cut-out on said right side thereof, and said façade having a molded-in handle, wherein said left side of said front opening has upper mounting points for said first hinge portion of said upper hinge and said left side of said front opening has lower mounting points for said first hinge portion of said lower hinge, wherein said right side of said front opening has upper mounting points for said first hinge portion of said upper hinge and said right side of said front opening has lower mounting points for said first hinge portion of said lower hinge, wherein said left side surface of said door has upper mounting points for said second hinge portion of said upper hinge and said left side surface of said door has lower mounting points for said second hinge portion of said lower hinge, and wherein said right side surface of said door has upper mounting points for said second hinge portion of said upper hinge and said right side surface of said door has lower mounting points for said second hinge portion of said lower hinge, to thereby allow said door to open either on the left side thereof or on the right side thereof on a field-selectable basis, and wherein said left cut-out provides clearance for at least part of said upper hinge when said door is hinged on said left side surface thereof, and wherein said right cut-out provides clearance for at least part of said upper hinge when said door is hinged on said right side surface thereof.
