PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the intrusion of air contg. oxygen into a forming furnace and the contamination of the space in the forming furnace even if die transporting cylinders which carry forming dies into and out of the forming furnace and transporting the dies in the forming furnace even if the sealing members of these cylinders are deteriorated by the heat within the forming furnace by using inert gas as the working fluid for the cylinders. SOLUTION: The forming dies are introduced into the forming furnace in a heating state by means of the cylinder 20 for carrying-in. While the forming dies are pitch fed by the cylinder 21 for horizontal transportation, the forming dies are press formed with the press forming member and further are carried out of the forming furnace by the cylinder 22 for carrying out. The gaseous nitrogen from a gaseous nitrogen cylinder 30 is used as the working fluid for the cylinders 20 to 22 as die transporting means. The discharge gases from the respective cylinders 20 to 22 are fed into the accumulator 36 of a discharge route 34 and further this discharge passage 34 is provided with a filter 37 and a pressure regulating valve 38. The other end thereof is opened into the forming furnace and is reused as the gaseous nitrogen source for prepressurization within the forming furnace.
