The cleaner for car headlamp lenses has two nozzles which are alternately fed with cleaning liquid by a pump via a valve (5). This has two pistons (17, 18) connected by a central bar (16) which passes through a seal (13). The pistons are biased towards the seal by springs (21, 22). and liquid is fed from an inlet (6) to one of two outlets (7, 8) connected to the nozzles. When the liquid supply stops, the springs move the seal so that liquid can be fed to the other outlet.
