A disk device for retreating a head provided at the tip of an actuator to a lamp mechanism provided in the vicinity of an outer periphery of a disk and also latching a ferromagnetic material provided on the side of a coil of the actuator by a latch magnet. A shaft is protrusively provided on a case of the disk device outside the latch mechanism, and a rotary lever including a windsail arm and an auxiliary arm is attached to the shaft. The windsail arm is extended onto the disk, and a ferromagnetic plate is attached to the tip of the auxiliary arm. While the disk is not rotating, the ferromagnetic plate separates from the latch magnet, and when the disk rotates, its wind pressure presses the windsail arm to rotate the rotary lever, causing the ferromagnetic plate to approach the latch magnet. As a result, magnetic coupling between the latch magnet and the ferromagnetic plate weakens, making a head actuator easy to separate from the holding of the latch magnet. |
