PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve printing quality by an ink-jet head by improving the machining accuracy of an ink discharge surface of an ink-jet head manifold to which an ink discharge port is opened. SOLUTION: This ink-jet head polishing device 71 comprises a grinding wheel 76 rotated while rotationally displacing a grinding surface 76a along a horizontal plane, a head fixing member 73 for fixing an ink-jet head manifold 2 to which an orifice plate 3 is joined afterward, and a head fixing member holding mechanism 74. The head fixing member 73 is placed on the grounding surface 76a of the grinding wheel 76 in a state of bringing an ink discharge surface 2e of the fixed ink-jet head manifold 2 into sliding contact. The head fixing member holding mechanism 74 holds the head fixing member 73 rotatably in a position where the center-of-gravity position of the head fixing member 73 to which the ink-jet head manifold 2 is fixed, is offset from the rotational center on the grinding surface 76a of the grinding wheel 76.
