PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper perforator accomplished to remedy drawbacks where paper perforators having a punching position determination device are poor in operability and work efficiency as they determine the punching position suitable for a sheet of paper while repeatedly locking and unlocking the determined position, the punching position determination device itself costs much and the punching position determination device is formed on an upper metallic casing with less workability than a lower resin casing, thereby impairing cost performance as well. SOLUTION: The paper perforator is configured such that a rod-like body can protrude to the maximum extent possible from a base portion either through a drawing operation or through the body's own weight. The protruding rod-like body is provided with a projection corresponding to the size of paper to be perforated. By making the paper to be selectively perforated abut on the projection, the punching position for the paper to be perforated is determined. The rod-like body is disposed in the lower casing of the base portion which comprises the upper metallic casing and the lower resin casing, and the lower casing is also provided with a spacer supporting the upper casing.
