PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pallet carrying system which does not require the place for storing sub-pallets, and further can easily change, increase, and decrease machining apparatuses. SOLUTION: The pallet carrying system comprises an unmanned carrying vehicle (A) capable of travelling along the rails (B) arranged on a floor surface, a pallet device 1 capable of being put on the unmanned carrying vehicle (A), and a sub-pallet transferring device 100 and a sub-pallet reversing device to be arranged along the rails for the unmanned carrying vehicle (A). The sub-pallet 20 is pulled out from the storing portion (S) of a reference pallet 10 composing the pallet device 1 by means of the sub-pallet transferring device 100, and is put on the reference pallet 10. Further, the sub-pallet 20 is reversed by means of the sub-pallet reversing device together with a workpiece W, and the workpiece W is put on the reference pallet 10, and the sub-pallet 20 is returned again to the storing portion of the reference pallet 10.
