<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine capable of suppressing adhesion of fuel to inner walls of intake ports. <P>SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine is provided with the plurality of intake ports 2 opened in a combustion chamber 11 of a cylinder 10; intake valves 3 for opening/closing the intake ports 2; and fuel injection valves 4 provided corresponding to the intake ports 2, respectively. Fuel injected from the fuel injection valve 4 passes through a curve part 25 in the vicinity of an opening part 29 on the intake port 2 and is supplied to the combustion chamber 11. The fuel injection valve 4 is arranged so that when the injection orientation A is vertically seen through or projected on a virtual plane including an intake port central axis C within the intake port 2 and is displayed on the virtual plane, the position of the injection orientation A intersecting with the intake port central axis C is located on the upstream side from the position where the intake valve 3 exists. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
