<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for manufacturing a color filter, improving yield by improving the shape of a colored layer. <P>SOLUTION: In the apparatus 1 for manufacturing a color filter, an ink is applied to a substrate 3 while moving an ink jet head 5, multi-directional air is blown to a colored layer before drying and curing through a blowing head 51 by use of a blower 9. The colored layer flows in the direction of the air within an opening of a pixel. The ink spreads over the whole area within the opening part of the pixel to uniform the end film thickness of the colored layer. No irregularity is caused in the shape of the colored layer. According to this, the shape of the colored layer after drying and curing can be improved to suppress a defect such as reflection unevenness or reflection stripe, and the yield can be thus improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
